So many regular concert-goers have commented when a pice by M.B. Sibson is on the program she decided to play a concert with a number of his pieces – all linked to Bach. Expect some Bach preludes, a beautiful version of the Catalan folk song ‘Song of the Birds’, a piece for loop pedal – and a musical surprise at the end!

As well a canon by Telemann (who was godfather to one of Bach’s sons – I’m sure he would have been at a birthday party or two…), Rachel will play the beautifully sunny G major suite. David will play the energetic C major suite – and there’ll be a musical surprise at the end!

You can watch live, or if the time doesn’t work for you, the stream will be able to be accessed for a week after the concert.

Ticket sales will close at 2.30pm on the day of the concert. The stream will also stay accessible for a week after the concert, so if you have plans on this particular night, you can always watch it a few days afterwards…

The live stream will be broadcast on the YouTube platform. You will need a link to access the stream – this link will be emailed to all ticket purchasers 2 hours before the event. If you have not received the link by 3.00pm (Sydney time) on the day of the concert, please email bachinthedark@gmail.com so it can be sent to you directly. 

For the best listening experience, it is recommended that you listen to the stream through headphones or external speakers. Expect a night of the unexpected as she’s joined by percussionist Ben Sibson – there’ll be music for cello and vibraphone, cello and hand drums from around the world, cello and loop pedal – and a little song to finish the evening where everyone can join in!

It’ll be a night of fabulous music, great fun and excellent gin – every ticket holder will have a gin and tonic on arrival – it’s included in the ticket price. What a great way to start the evening!
