Get ready for a special concert to start the 2024 season!
Tickets are available for this concert from 9am, Friday December 1, 2023.
This concert starts with the sound of one cello – a Bach Prelude, and then a reworking of the same prelude by German cello virtuoso Friedrich Grützmacher. Then more sounds gets added one-by-one, for each piece – a second cello sound (via a loop pedal) in a canon by Telemann; Rachel’s voice in ‘Uluru Song’ by Martin Wesley-Smith; and then the concert concludes with Martin Wesley-Smith’s audio visual masterpiece ‘Welcome to the Hotel Turismo’, with images projected onto the walls of the Nolan gallery.
This promises to be a concert of musical surprises, featuring some incredible sounds and images – you’ll remember it for a long time afterwards….
