Bach in the Dark is delighted to be going back to Picton!

One of Rachel’s very treasured musical friendships is with the team from ‘Classics at Picton’, and their audience. And she’s delighted to announce that for their first concert of the year she’ll be playing for them in the beautiful space of St Mark’s Church, joined by her dear friend, former teacher and Australian cello legend David Pereira!

The program will include works by Bach, a piece written especially for the program by David based around the Prelude of Bach’s fifth cello suite, Mozart’s sparkling duo in G major (originally for violin and viola) and Elena Kats-Chernin’s ‘Phoenix Story’ featured on Rachel and David’s recording ‘Dreaming with Daisy’. Here’s what the team from CaP write…. “We do ask that you tell us if you intend to come to the concert; as you’d appreciate in this Covid environment of check-in and mask wearing there are reasons for people to avoid public performances and with that in mind we’d like some idea of numbers attending. Please respond to the Classics email address music@classicsatpicton.org.au; there is certainly still a chance that the concert might have to be cancelled but that decision would be made on or around 4 February.”
