After the incredibly warm reception of the ‘Bach in the Dark’ audience of Sydney and surrounds with the cancelled concert for cello and harp, Rachel has decided to finish the year with a night filled with music playing with two dear friends.
She’s going to be joined by the wonderful guitar duo, Duo Agostino – Raffaele and Janet Agostino – and they’ve devised a program that has a little something for everyone in it. There’s a toe-tapping piece by Purcell, a new arrangement by Janet of Bach’s beautiful G major violin sonata, some folk songs, some klezmer pieces and a musical moment to slow your heart down by Phillip Houghton. The three friends are looking forward to sitting and sharing all their favourite music with you. Tickets are strictly limited – so you are advised to book early!
We will be selling limited tickets, so there’ll be enough room for all the audience to spread out in the church as you enter. There will be no printed programs – instead there will be a program emailed to you (if you pre-book), but of course, we’ll talk you through the program on the night! There’s no wine at the venue – but there’s lots of fabulous bars (and places to eat) in Newtown that you can go to beforehand or afterwards.
Door to the venue will open at 6.30pm. We will also be selling tickets at the door, but you are advised to pre-book, as it’s likely the concert will sell out. (On-line tickets to the event will stop being sold at 3pm on Saturday November 19.)
