For the first concert in the 2017 series, Rachel kicks off the year with a slightly different evening. She’ll be playing two of Bach’s Suites for solo cello – but both with a twist. His suite in G major will be linked to spoken word, read by actor Paul Armstrong. Bach’s suite in C major will be accompanied by Ben Sibson, percussionist, playing all sorts of hand drums from around the world – your toes will be tapping!

Rachel has been wanting to play a complete suite in the series for a while – and now she’s presenting two in the one night. What a way to start the year!
