Bach in the Dark at the Coal Loader Tunnel – Solo Cello

Bach in the Dark at the Coal Loader Tunnel - Solo Cello

To start the 2020 ‘Bach in the Dark’ season, Rachel will again be presenting a solo cello concert in the wonderful Coal Loader Tunnel. The setting and acoustics of this venue are quite extraordinary – be prepared for a night you’ll remember for a while!

Rachel will be playing Bach’s fourth solo cello suite, a new piece for loop pedal composed for her by M.B. Sibson and other works.

Just so you know….

There’s no public transport to this venue. The floors are uneven, and the tunnel is open at both ends (although the concert is in the middle of this very long tunnel), so you may need to dress warmly if you feel the cold, and be prepared to walk carefully. Sensible shoes are recommended! There are no toilet facilities in the tunnel – you’ll need to catch the lift up to where you enter the complex. There is also no disabled access.

By purchasing this ticket you agree to abide by all instructions given to you by Bach in the Dark or North Sydney Council staff. You understand that you are entering a former industrial site with non-level flooring, open guttering and possible water dripping.
